Made for the tour Newport Beach in an oil can finish with a tour 'T' stamp.
From Vog: "My memory fails me a bit on this, I think it was made for the tour (that I know for certain)
in 1996 and only 96 were made. Or was it 1997 and 97 made? The Newport Beach differs from the Newport
in that it has a sound slot in the sole (aka a floating face) and a flat topline instead of the roll
top of the Newport of that era. This putter has Scotty's original Oil Can finish which was very finicky.
The original oil can explodes off the metal with gold and purple hues in the finish. Frankly, unless you love old school Cameron
tour putters and/or you were collecting when these were released to the tour, you probably don't know anything about. By the way,
this has a baby T stamp on the face, and of the examples I've seen, I guess that less than half have a T stamp on them. These putters
were made with guys like Freddie (okay, I have two, one with the initials FC) Ernie Els, Paul Azinger, Seve, etc., guys who liked
the old Ping Scottsdale Anser."
