The commonly told story about these putters is that they were made in 1992 for a winery in California that gave them to their best customers. The putter came in a beautiful wooden box with a “Private Reserve” plaque on the inside. In fact, the Private Reserve was made for one of Scotty’s Japanese distributors. Four different models were designed, with 125 of each putter produced.
