The commonly told story about these putters is that they were made in 1992 for a winery in California that gave them to their best customers. The putter came in a beautiful wooden box with a “Private Reserve” plaque on the inside. In fact, the Private Reserve was made for one of Scotty’s Japanese distributors. Four different models were designed, with 125 of each putter produced. This putter was purchased from renonwed Japanese collector Makoto "Mac" Suzuki.
