The Newport model draws its inspiration from the Classic 1, one of the first putters produced by Cameron Golf International in late ‘92, and made famous in the 1993 Masters win by Bernhard Langer. The Newport has a plumbing neck for 1/4 toe hang and optimal toe flow. The radius topline and softened edges create a more natural, less mechanical look, and the use of solid carbon steel and one piece milling produce better sound and feel. Like the Classic Series, the Newport is hand ground, hand shaped, and hand polished. This model is typically know as the “Gun Blue” model because of it’s finish.
