A very rare Mizuno model is the 1993 Pro-Am putter. This putter was given to the participants at Mizuno’s corporate pro-am played at Pebble Beach. This putter has a lot of
misinformation circulated about it. It was described as having been given to the amateurs at the 1993 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. If this were true, it would have meant that
celebrities such as Jack Lemmon and Clint Eastwood would have received one. However, this story has been proven to be false. This putter has similar dimensions from heel
to toe as the M-100 model. However, it has a much thinner flange, about 1/4” wide. It also has a different engraving style on the face than the other Mizuno models.
Scotty was experimenting with a Cartier style script at the time and then eventually abandoned the idea. According to Scotty Cameron expert Bill Vogeney, there were
around 150 of these made.
