Scotty Cameron International merged with Titleist in early 1994. During the transition Scotty, his wife Kathy and a friend, Kim Halstrom, were sitting on a park bench having lunch when the 3 decided to thank his loyal Cameron fans who had supported his private company. The AMF was born. AMF stands for "Adios My Friends", a term the 3 came up with on that boardroom bench. Scotty engraved 200 Classic 1 and Classic X putters with the letters AMF on the sole, thanking the fans and giving back to all those who had supported him.
